From his road trip to Japan - a scooter along the Tokaido historic road that connects Tokyo to Kyoto for about five hundred kilometers - Philippe Delord has brought back a sketchbook and paintings that has led to this magnificent book TOKAIDO 53 .
Born in Lyon and living in Tours, Philippe Delord is a passionate globe-trotter. In his travel bag, besides his sketchbook, colored pencils, maps and some practical objects, one will certainly also find also a part of dream ... that he will confront during his trip.

Aesthetic, ecological, practical, furoshiki is a piece of fabric used in Japan for centuries to wrap, wear, decorate, offer, store .... Today, it’s many uses are still relevant to contemporary life.
